We have enjoyed the pleasure of experiencing speakeasy dinners at Blaine’s restaurant multiple times and enjoyed it very much! Great food, often with some special additions to our liking and a lovely host who clearly is an experienced chef. The terrace on sunny evenings is extra wonderful. We come back to Blaine regularly and enjoy it always!

If there are constants when staying at Blaine’s, the following just scratch the surface enough to give you a taste: Friendly, welcoming, comfortable, flexible, and a gastronomic pleasure to spend time there. This isn’t a hotel, it’s a home with the best bits hotels try to offer their guests to make sure they want to return.

Family Friendly…
My family and I have been staying at Blaine’s B&B for over 10 years when we traveled to Amsterdam. Sometimes, it’s the whole family, one of the kids, or just my wife and me. No matter the size of our group we always had a wonderful stay at Blaine’s. The B&B is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood but within a short walk of Tram #2 to downtown. This allows you to enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown during the day and then return to a quiet oasis. Blaine’s rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable and the shared bath is clean. The loft is great for a family stay and it has its own bathroom/shower. The jewel of the property is the rooftop terrace (open to all guests) during weather permitting months/times. Comfortable, relaxing, and a great place to have a drink. As available, I also recommend doing one of Blaine’s food options. His breakfasts are wonderful and provide great fuel for a full day in Amsterdam. As Blaine is a former chef, his dinners are delicious with his Tiki Masala being my favorite. I saved the best for last, the proprietor, Blaine. He is a wealth of knowledge of Amsterdam and can provide you a recommended itinerary based on your interests/group size/budget and the best way to get there. After doing the “mandatory attractions” (e.g Anne Franks’ House, Van Gogh Museum) he has told us about the “Church-in-the-Attic”, renting E-boats on the canals, graffiti art, and flea market at NDSM Wharf, and much more. He is a gracious host and will make your Amsterdam stay enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend Blaine’s B&B for your next Amsterdam visit! “

Great Breakfast….
In my first stay, 2018, I stayed in the Loft room. The access to that amazing terrace was the best way to start and end each day in Amsterdam! Everything was just perfect, from the room to the company and the food
️ Oh, the food!!!🤤 Blaine, I would fly to Amsterdam any day just to have your
breakfast 🥞 🥘 . Location is great, tram station at 3 min walk, direct tram to Central station, markets and shops really close by. Last but not least, maybe the best part of staying at Blaine’s was actually the pets! I simply loved them and enjoyed spending time with them after breakfast, every morning.
In 2019, of course, we came back! I don’t think there is anybody that wouldn’t;)! We stayed in one of the smaller rooms this time, the one with a balcony. This is a beautiful, really comfortable room, a really nice view from the balcony also! Blaine was again, extremely helpful and friendly! He always gives tips and helps with recommendations and itineraries if you want! You can also have dinner made by him, on request! He actually remembered something that i had liked the previous year at breakfast and he did it again the first morning we were there! Jessie, the cocker spaniel, was really happy that we were there again also!:) we don’t have any complaints, we had actually booked it to go there the 3rd year in a row, in may 2020, but unfortunately, the pandemic had other plans! But we aim to be back this year or early next year! We will probably be staying at Blaine’s every time we get to Amsterdam until he decides he doesn’t want us anymore! 🙂Alina Stoica – Romania – 31 May 2021
Lovely B&B in a calm neighborhood! I stayed in the Asian room as well as the Loft Apartment and enjoyed both very much. The breakfast is quite outstanding, Blaine’s homemade jam is absolutely delicious, and having the first coffee in the morning on the roof terrace is a real highlight! I’m already looking forward to my next stay in September.
